It may not be love yet, but I don’t hate AT&T.

You know hate is such a strong word.
And I’m not so stubborn or small that I can’t or won’t recant, so I recant. I don’t hate ATT. It may not be love yet, but it is definitely not hate, or even indifference for that matter. Perhaps a case of “mild like.”

Why?

If you have been to this blog before you may have read my entry “I love my iPhone. I hate AT&T.”

And I need to share an update.

I have just had an amazing series of conversations with the “Office of the President” at ATT. A lovely young lady there (I’m assuming on the lovely, and the young, as we were not exchanging pictures or anything, but it is an accurate description of her personality either way) listened to my story, understood my frustration, displayed some empathy, and then was my advocate in getting all of the data charges reversed.

Yes, all of the data charges were reversed. Every single one of them.

I’m happy. I appreciate it. And while it took a while to get to the right person, once I did, they did the right thing.

    This shows the power of persistence and believing in yourself and not just saying “oh well I will have to bite the bullet and learn from the experience.” Follow up is so very important in every thing you do in life, not just the big financial things but the small things that come up every day.

    For the past 8 months I have been over billed from 6 to $900 so every month I get the pleasure of telling the same story to a variety of (for the most part) concerned and caring people who understand my frustration and after 2-3 hours tell me ” this is absolutely not your fault” and attempt to refund my bill 150-$900 so every month my bill arrives nothing seems to happen. I have come to dread my bill and am going grey. How did you find this lovely lady at the office of the Pres. Please any help would be greatly appreciated Ive tied a knot at the end of my rope and an barely hanging on.

    I do hate AT&T, they have been double billing us for two DSL lines - we asked for one to be removed and they removed both, then wanted to chrage us to get up and running again, we have been down for 3 WEEKS as they provision the service request - they have the WORST customer service I have ever experienced - I have since canceled their services and I will do whatever I can to be load about how lame this company is
