Barefoot, Creative Department Best In Local ADDYs®

Barefoot won the most medals and Creative Department won Best of Show in the 2002 ADDY® Awards.
The event, sponsored by the Ad Club of Cincinnati, was held Feb. 9 at the Twentieth Century Theater in Oakley.
Best of Show went to the Creative Department for its local television commercial for the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks, titled “Mental Message.”
Downtown-based Barefoot was far and away the overall medal winner, with 56 awards.
“We felt we had an outstanding year building our business,” said Doug Worple, CEO of Barefoot, which he founded in 1995 and which now has 30 employees.
HSR B2B, based in Springdale, was second in overall ADDYs with 28 medals, followed by downtown-based Creative Department with 21 medals.
The Ad Club received 569 entries from more than 20 local agencies. A total of 66 gold and 77 silver medals were awarded.
