October 13th, 2006
Barefoot announced today that it has hired J. Robert “Robby” Routt as its chief financial officer, the first person to hold that position at the firm.
Routt served as vice president/controller of the E.W. Scripps Company from 1985 to 2002, where he was responsible for external and internal reporting and forecasts, internal control policies and compliance, and managing the relationship with their external auditors.
Prior to E.W. Scripps, Routt worked at accounting firm Deloitte as a senior accountant on audits for a couple of companies, including Procter & Gamble.
Since 2002, Routt has served as a director of two start-up companies: Domin-8 Enterprise Solutions (domain-8.com,) a web-based software provider to real estate management companies, and NeoSynergy (neosynergy.net), a web-based software provider to auto dealers.
Routt is also a partner in Michaelson Homes LLC, a residential construction company.
“It’s great to have a financial officer of Robby’s caliber on staff, particularly as we continue to grow and seek new opportunities,” said Doug Worple, the firm’s founding partner and chief creative officer.
Routt is the father of two boys, and is a volunteer fireman with the Terrace Park Fire Department.
