Winners Once Again: Barefoot Garners Most Awards at Local Advertising Awards Show

February 11th, 2007

Barefoot capped off a huge year of growth last night at the annual ADDY award show. With 28 awards, including Best Of Show for their work on Mickeys.com, Barefoot received the most honors at the annual celebration of the area’s best advertising.

Besides the website for Mickey’s, Barefoot received Gold ADDYs for work done for Miller Brewing Company, Wiley Publishing, Procter & Gamble, Visionnati, a local arts and social services group, and Jordan Pelchovitz, DDS. In total, Barefoot received 14 Silver ADDYs and 14 Gold ADDYs including the award for Best of Show. Mickeys.com is the first website to win Best Of Show at the ADDYs.

“Winning Best of Show for Mickeys.com was especially gratifying,” said Doug Worple, Barefoot’s founder and executive creative director, “Not only did almost everyone in the agency take part in creating the site, but it’s one more point of validation that we can translate our great ideas and creative thinking into the interactive sphere.”

The laurels were just part of another year of growth for Barefoot. The agency has continued to add employees, requiring the firm to double its office space this winter. The agency has also started 2007 strong, already adding a major project for a division of Pepsico and an Agency Of Record assignment yet to be announced.

“I couldn’t be prouder of our performance at this year’s show,” says Worple, “It’s always nice to have the recognition of your peers from around the country. But more importantly, it’s great to have the recognition of clients that trust us to do great work based on our ‘resume’ of award-winning creative.”
