Barefoot Offering $100,000 in Advertising

April 9th, 2007

CINCINNATI, OH – March 22, 2007 – For the eighth year in a row, Barefoot is giving back by providing advertising and marketing services to two non-profit organizations. But this year, Barefoot is doubling the amount they are donating—up to $50,000 worth of strategic and creative services for each of two organizations.

Barefoot is currently accepting applications through their website, www.thinkbarefoot.com/grants. The deadline to submit applications is April 30th and winners will be announced May 30th. Two organizations will be chosen to receive a $50,000 grant—one will receive services from June 1 through August 31, 2007 and the other will receive services from September 1 through November 30, 2007. Preference will be given to organizations with the resources to pay for production and media placement, expenses that are not covered by the grant.

“The last few years, the amount of work we completed for our non-profit grant winners far exceeded the $25,000 figure on the original RFP,” said Doug Worple, Barefoot’s founder and executive creative director, “That’s what happens when you get excited about the work you’re doing for a client. So this year we decided to double the amount that we’re offering.”

Over the course of their non-profit grants program, Barefoot has donated over $1 million of billable agency time to such organizations as Pitch In For Baseball, Second Chance Horse Rescue, Visionnati and Beaded Hope.

“Day in and day out, we’re trying to sell a product or service,” Worple said, “But there’s a special satisfaction for us when we have the chance to serve a special cause. Of course, it’s the work we do for our ‘for-profit’ clients that makes this grant program possible.”

Founded in 1993, Barefoot is Cincinnati’s premier creative advertising agency. Their client roster also includes: Del Monte, Novartis, Procter & Gamble and the Miller Brewing Company. Learn more about their work at www.thinkbarefoot.com.
