Findlay Market Wins Six-Figure Marketing Grant
August 15th, 2008
Advertising Agency Barefoot has chosen a Cincinnati landmark to receive its 2008 non-profit grant: The Corporation for Findlay Market. The non-profit management organization that operates historic Findlay Market will receive $100,000 worth of billable agency time from Barefoot for strategic and creative services. The grant also includes at least $200,000 worth of promotional support from radio and outdoor advertising giant Clear Channel Communications and WEBN, one of their local radio properties.
“This is a huge win for us,” said Robert Pickford, President & CEO of the Corporation for Findlay Market. “How great it is that we will benefit from an awareness and promotional campaign that would otherwise be light years beyond our budget. It’s a dream come true. This grant will showcase the Market and its merchant community to greater Cincinnati and northern Kentucky. It will certainly attract new shoppers and new businesses to Ohio’s oldest public market, Findlay Market.”
“Findlay Market is one of Cincinnati’s true gems,” said Doug Worple, CEO of Barefoot. “We look forward to opening more people’s eyes to all it has to offer and what it means for the continued renaissance of Over-the-Rhine.”
Over the years, Barefoot has donated well over $1 million in total agency time, money and materials to non-profit organizations. “The entire organization gets energized by using our professional expertise and talent to help a non-profit,” Worple continued. “It’s always a highlight of our year.”
Previous grant winners have included Second Chance Horse Rescue, Visionaries & Voices, Know Theatre, Pitch In for Baseball and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, among others.
